Good afternoon French bulldog lovers, and Alpha French Bulldogs followers, recently I've been receiving requests for what some bad breeders would market as "rare colors" " Blue, chocolate, merle, black and tan". The color's are considered defects and that is why the AKC won't allow them to be shown.

First,
There is no such thing as a purebred Merle
French bulldog as French Bulldogs DO NOT carry the genetic mutation for merle.
To produce merle French Bulldogs, breeders are crossing into other breeds that do carry Merle.

That alone goes against Alpha French Bulldogs policy of breeding the best possible French bulldog.
For more information click on the picture above.

PLEASE share this as French bulldogs lovers should not be fooled by a marketing scheme, find a breeder that breeds for health as a main concern thank you for reading and thank you again if you share.

It's important to prioritize healthy breeding practices over rare colors.
